Safeway Foods

A grocery store can be a good place to work for sometimes. I work for a pretty good company, it Safeway Foods. Safeway has been around for a long while and they seem to know what they are doing. They treat their employees well and their customers even better. Safeway is the only grocery store that’s its employees will go out of their way to help you and make everything alright. Safeway is a good place to shop and when you do you are supporting a place that pays its employee well and provides many benefits that are sometimes only provided by professional jobs. I do think, however, there are many things which Safeway could do to be a better company both for its customers and its employees, but at least they are not as bad as Wal-Mart.
That’s right I am against Wal-Mart and a lot of the things they do. In the last five years I have only entered Wal- Mart 4 times and have only purchased no more than 4-7 items from this store, why? Because, I do not support a company that is the American version of Slave Labor. Long hour’s low pay and no benefits (provided by the company) is not the way to care for your greatest asset. Wal-Mart is resetting the standard for the business model. Sure they come into an area and perhaps create jobs, but by killing other jobs that just can’t compete, therefore the poverty level of that city stays the same or gets worse because of other higher paying jobs leaving.
I could go on and on about how Wal-mart miss treat its works and how they are destroying the future of good paying jobs in America and how they are part of the reason manufacturing jobs are outsourced, but I will not. You can read about it in the news and ask yourself is it worth saving a few pennies at a place that cares not about you or its workers. The choice is your just remember you are feeding an evil monster who wants to see every retail worker suffer. So go to your local Safeway and let them know that you want high paying jobs in your area not Slave Labor. Please support the union worker so that there can be a better future in American jobs.
